Causes of Dental Disease

  • Daily plaque accumulation
  • Tartar (calculus) forms from plaqu
  • Rough tartar accumulates more plaque
  • Bacteria growth between the teeth or from infected gums
  • Inherited
  • Failure of deciduous (baby) teeth to resorb, allowing adult tooth eruption
